Knowledge
Intellectual knowledge is entirely separate from the essence of what people are. Kabbalah, Bible thumpers, Buddha thumpers, etc., thump intellectual knowledge because they “believe” it answers questions about their nature to improve their lives. But what quality of improvement? A thumper is a thumper because he becomes further blind in his thumping. Unfortunately, human beings read wisdom from an unconscious point of view, which acts as a catalyst for their selfish desires to look good, appear bright, quell boredom, have power at a later date, and appear virtuous to others. Instead of jumping into the nasty cold waters of fixing oneself, they reopen the kabbalah, Bible, Koran, etc., to get another orgasm of understanding. If you get enough orgasms, you just might become a priest or Rabbi without really ever doing an ounce of real work necessary for wisdom to wake up inside of oneself. Then you have the blind, which leads the blind by the fruit of intellectual knowledge alone. Being unconscious while consuming divine philosophy is the plague of its allusiveness, the stagnant nature of how freedom remains hidden, a double-edged sword, paradox, and why only one in ten million becomes enlightened.
